the innocence of childhood because of sexual abuse.
Each
year the Georgia Center for Children serves over 850 children, and
with the support of generous donors like you, we are able to help
remove them from harm’s way. When you consider that the cost
of providing initial forensic, counseling, and case coordination
services to one abused child costs $1,500.00, we quite simply could
do not it without your help.
By
making a contribution to the Georgia Center for Children, you will
give hundreds of hurting children one of the most important gifts
they will ever receive—the gift of hope and healing. |
Your gift will:
 Help
a child start the healing process by making child-friendly forensic
interviews and crisis counseling possible.
Provide
a child with therapy for as long as he or she needs so that they
can recover from the abused they have suffered.
Ensure
that a Family Advocate can help the family access other supportive
services in the community and demystify the bureaucracy of the public
systems into which they are thrust.
And
your gift will help keep these and many more services free-of-charge
for each of the hundreds of children who need them every year.

Gifts by Cash, Check or Credit Card:
A
gift of cash in support of the Georgia Center for Children is the
easiest way to give. Your gift may also be eligible to be matched
by your company, which could possibly double or even triple the
value of your contribution. Please check with your human resource
department to verify if your company has a matching gift program.
If they do, simply obtain the form, fill in your donation information,
and mail it in with your contribution, and we will return the form
to receive the matching gift.

Gifts
of Stock:
This
type of gift allows you to:
Give
away appreciated assets and usually avoid tax on the gain.
Receive
the regular charitable income tax deduction if you itemize your
taxes.

a tax deduction for the full fair market value (rather than the
cost value) of your stock if you have owned the securities for more
than one year.

preferred method for receiving stock donations is via electronic
transfer as this is the most secure and expedient delivery process.

so that we may provide you and/or your broker with the necessary
information to process your donation electronically.

gift and your deduction in accordance with the current tax laws.
Bequests:
A
charitable bequest is deductible for federal estate tax purposes.
Assets of any type - cash, securities, real estate, personal property
- can be contributed via a bequest.
