Internship
Psychotherapy Practica: Doctoral students who have
completed their Master’s degree in an accredited mental health
program may apply for training practica through their respective
programs. Students are closely supervised by licensed GCC clinical
staff. Some practicum placements for selected Master’s degree
programs may be available for those working towards mental health
licensing. The primary purpose of a practicum placement is for the
student to acquire and refine basic clinical skills. Assignment
to and work with clients is subject to close preparation and supervision
and will include intake, screening and diagnostic work as well as
experience with intervention.
Undergraduate
Pratica: May apply for practicum experiences focused on
research or on enhancing their general understanding of child abuse
and community systems and may work in a variety of areas to include
research, data collection/analysis, administrative support and various
volunteer activities in support of their career goals in the social
services field.

Applicants for intern placement will undergo a screening process
to include an interview with the program manager and clinical director.
Those
given further consideration for placement will then be asked to
complete a background check and placement agreement. If you are
