Teddy Bears

Each year the Center gives away over 1,000 teddy bears to help comfort children after they have a forensic interview. The forensic interview process is often very frightening and distressing for children and the teddy bear offers them as sense of security after they have done the brave thing of telling what has happened to them. We accept donations of medium size teddy bears preferably without logos and decorations. You can participate by donating teddy bears yourself or by hosting a teddy bear drive through your place of employment, church, or neighborhood association to help us provide these items.

Therapeutic Workbooks and Reading Materials

We also keep a wish list of specialized therapy workbooks and resources that would be a wonderful addition to our therapy library. Emergency Relief Closet

The Center is helping to provide items such as clothing and toiletries to children who must be removed from their homes to ensure their protection. In some cases, a child may be removed from their home in a crisis situation and placed in a shelter or foster care, which means they need emergency clothing and personal care items to take with them. You can participate by donating any of these items yourself or by hosting a donation drive through your place of employment, church, or neighborhood association to help us provide these items.

Things we need for the clothes closet:
New Socks and underwear (all children/teenager sizes)
New or Slightly used clothing (children sizes 0-16)
New diapers, diaper wipes, baby blankets, bottles, pacifiers
New book bags or small overnight bags
New personal toiletries (Shampoo, conditioner, soap and/or shower gel, shower caps, toothbrushes & toothpaste, combs & brushes, hair holders, barrettes, deodorants (for teenagers)

Please note: Things we cannot accept due to space limitations include: furniture, shoes, car seats, swings, highchairs. We also at this time do not have a need for books, magazines, games, toys or other activity items.
